NASA-created aerogel, once used to capture comet dust, could soon solve more down-to-Earth problems.

Scientists from Ohio and Arizona are creating aerogels that can absorb oil from spills or stop pollutants from ever reaching the environment.

“It would be put on top of the water, where it will float on the surface and absorb oil and then, just like a kitchen sponge, you could squeeze the oil out,” said Matt Gawryla, a scientist at Ohio-based AeroClay Inc.

AeroClay is working to commercialize the aerogel technology originally developed at Case Western Reserve University.

Aerogel was originally developed decades ago for NASA space missions. It’s the least dense, most insulating material on Earth. It’s derived from a gel in which the liquid component is replaced with a gas. Even a thin coating of aerogel can dramatically improve a building’s energy efficiency or stop a blowtorch from igniting a match.

Over the last several years, new manufacturing methods have pushed the price of aerogels down to more earthly levels. Aerogels are now cheap enough to insulate some homes and businesses and be used in high-end sporting equipment, such as tennis racquets.

Superior insulation isn’t aerogel’s only quality. Aerogel can also be made to attract and hold oil and water. Two groups of scientists are trying to commercialize aerogel’s water- and oil-absorbing properties.

AeroClay is in the beginning stages of testing a prototype aerogel sponge, among other aerogel products. An aerogel sponge can soak up water and oil; which one it soaks up depends on the aerogel’s chemistry.

By modifying the different polymers that keep aerogel from collapsing in on itself, scientists can program which liquids or particles the material picks up.

An aerogel sponge could clean up oil covering rocks and birds like a kitchen sponge, but AeroClay’s executives primarily have another use in mind; stopping oil from reaching the shore in the first place.

Large sheets of aerogel could be placed at the source of the oil leak and absorb more oil faster. Once the sponge is filled with oil, the pad would be removed, the oil squeezed out and stored for future use, and the sponge could be put back in the water to absorb more oil.

AeroClay’s technology isn’t mature enough to clean up the oil slick threatening the Gulf coast, said Lauren Wolf, AeroClay’s CEO. Within several years the company hopes its aerogel technology could help clean up oil slicks, but the company has no plans to deploy aerogel prototypes for the current clean up.

Another group of scientists is developing aerogels to stop pollutants from leaching into nature in the first place. Robert Pfeffer, a scientist from Arizona State University, is looking to use aerogels in industry to remove harmful particles and chemicals. Breaking a solid piece of aerogel into tiny particles increases the aergol’s surface area, allowing it to absorb more chemicals than a flat sheet.

At metal plating facilities, coal-fueled power plants and other factories, waste air and water need to be filtered to remove any contaminants. Waste air or water would be pumped into a container filled with loose aerogel particles. The force of the air would suspend the particles in mid air, exposing every surface of them to absorb harmful particles. The aerogel particles, saturated with contaminants, would then be collected and stored in a safe facility.

“Removing chemicals and oils from water and from the air is a major problem,” said Pfeffer. “Aerogels are an excellent material to act as a sorbent for these materials.”

Barbara Shipman, a mathematician at the University of Rochester, expands upon the research of physicist Karl Von Frisch, hypothesizing that bees have an advanced understanding of quantum space and mathematics.

Karl Von Frisch has proven that honey bees communicate the location of food through specific dances, or “waggles,” that are geometrically proportional to variables such as the distance between the hive and food.

Von Frisch concludes: “You have to wonder what makes the dance happen. Bees don’t have enough intelligence to know what they’re doing. How do they know the dance in the first place? Calling it instinct or some other word just substitutes one mystery for another.”

Message from the Angels

My dear friends, we love you so very much.

So many of you love humanity dear ones. You may feel disillusioned at times, tired, frustrated, but we in the heavens understand that this comes from a deep love of human hearts, and a deep desire to have the world feel and know God’s love. You wouldn’t be frustrated with others if you didn’t care. You wouldn’t be disillusioned if you didn’t want more for the world. You wouldn’t be upset with others if you didn’t see a greater light inside of them. And so, when you find yourself in these spaces, first of all take a breath and acknowledge that no matter what it looks like on the surface, deep down you LOVE. You CARE. You want more for the world. From this space dear ones – from a space of love, kindness, compassion, and allowance – you can create a deeper and more meaningful relationships, first with yourself, then with the world around you.

Accept yourself no matter what. If you are upset or frustrated or disillusioned with another allow yourself your own feelings. Look at them. Then look beneath them. You want more for yourself. You want more for and from the other. But dear ones you cannot ever change another. You can only communicate your heart and then must allow them to make their own choices. You can either stay or walk away or choose not to let them bother you, but to continue to try to change someone who does not want to change is a waste of your light and time. You have heard the quote… “Do not cast your pearls before swine.” While every soul is precious to us for we see their light, we ask you to share your gifts, wisdom and talents with those who can value them, honor them, and use them. Do not force your gifts and wisdom on those who don’t want it.

In a very practical light this means that you can offer advice, but with permission. You can share your viewpoints but with respect for the fact that another may or may not agree. And it means that although you might be angry or frustrated, better to vent that in the privacy of your own home or journal and then to find what you really want to say, with love and compassion, that lies beneath the upset. “I would love it if you would speak to me more kindly.” “I feel you are not listening to me.” “I am frustrated because I care about you so much but you do not seem to care about yourself so I must release you to your own path and lessons.” The list goes on… there are so many ways to communicate with love. And if you are stuck and stymied, pray for the right words at the right time for God loves to help you drop into your hearts and speak from that space.

Dear ones, when you do communicate with another, be careful. Your intention should only be to express your love, your views, your compassion, and your wisdom… not to manipulate the other into changing or understanding you! This is so human and yet it only leads to more frustration – if you are attached to another changing as a result of your words, you risk more frustration. If you simply allow them their own response, then you can make a clear decision. Either you want to continue being around this person or not. Either you want to continue the dance you’ve been dancing or not. This keeps YOU dear ones in a space of responsibility for your own well-being rather than giving that power to another.

We understand that human relationships can bring both the heights of love and the depths of despair, but if you keep this in mind, you will navigate your lessons with greater ease. All relationships start with the relationship you have with yourself. If you are comfortable with who you are, what you believe, and how you think, and if you can get in touch with the love in your hearts, then dear friends, you have mastered the relationship with yourself and you will see that you attract who belongs in your life and repel those who do not. Give thanks! Not everyone was intended to get along on this earth walk, however, you were all designed with the capacity to co-exist in love.

Conference Call for the Louisiana Oil Slick – May 4 2010
Thank you, Richard and of course, as you might understand this Carolyn Evers, and as I heard all of you come on board this call, some I didn’t hear, just energetically knew that you were there, I felt this great joy. And what I saw was that each one of you, in your own way was doing great service for this planet. Each one of you are not just representing you; you’re representing your country, you are representing humanity, and energetically you are holding hands around the entire planet and know that each one of you who have stepped forward to serve Gaia, to serve humanity, to serve yourself are being blessed now. Concentrate upon your heart center. Feel the blessing, feel the love of Gaia. She is standing beside me and she has taken the appearance, you might say, almost of a young bride. She is so happy. She has flowers in her hair, she has flowers in her hands, and she says;
In a sense, the groom, her groom, your groom is this planet Earth. She says she is the bride of this planet, this planet that is your home.
And so she joins you, sending this blessing of love, and that is why she says;
Feel the love. Know I send you one of my flowers, the flower of the Earth and it sits in your heart nourished by your love, and my blessing is there for you always. Anytime you see something upon this beautiful planet that you do not agree with, turn your attention to your heart. Remember this moment when I have connected with you, because there is great power in this. If you send me your love, I can send it to this planet. I cannot do this alone, but with inhabitants such as you, I can use your energy and I can do my work. You see my friends, I know what to do. I know how to keep the workings of the Earth in its pure state, doing exactly what it is supposed to do, but I get discouraged at times because as I look upon this beautiful planet, I feel the intentions of those that wish to rape me; and I use that word rape.
It is such a violent word and there are those that rape the planet, those who in their greed continuously pump oil from its surface, knowing that there is technology. Those hold that technology, those that rape this planet, and what that technology is, is the energy that was discovered by Tesla. Those who rape this planet know that it is not necessary; they can use the free energy that Tesla founded. It was a gift to this planet by Ultimate Creator, but you see a free gift from Ultimate Creator would mean that they could not make the tons of profit that they make.
Keep in mind the oil company that is behind this speaks of the tremendous amount of profits that they have made this year alone, and they say that they will pay for their damage from those profits and there’s plenty of profits. Yes, they have not only been raping the planet of the oil, but they have been raping the consumer. Profits upon profits;that is what they have forced from the Earth, forced from humanity knowing all along there is free energy that was given to this planet, founded by Tesla and he paid for this with his life. He was murdered and what he was given was stolen and hidden away.
I come and tell you this, because it is necessary for humanity to understand that number one, the collection of oil out of Mother Earth is not necessary. Humanity thinks this is required to run their cars, to heat their homes, to make plastics and all the other things that might be produced, but I tell you my friends this is not necessary. Those of the dark who do this know very well the process to use the sun to fire the engines, to run the automobiles, to heat the homes and it is free.
And so I come to acknowledge each and every one of you for being here, but I also wish to acknowledge that raping and pillaging the Earth of her gifts is not the way. You see, things happen in the world to wake up people. It was not my desire that this terrible accident be allowed, but I allowed it so that the people can become aware that this is abominable. I thought that after the Valdez moment that people would rise up when they saw the animals filled with oil, that they were dying, being smothered out from the oil upon their wings and on their feet, but it didn’t make a difference did it?
Even with that, countries believed that they would drill as much as possible and you heard the phrase, “drill baby, drill”. The dark came forth in those moments and they won. But you see my friends, what will happen this time is this will not be contained. It will not be contained from the point of view that it is being shown to the world that the answers to contain this disaster is not immediate. It will take time and as you read the news, it will take a long time because all of that oil is being allowed to be pumped out into the water to wake up humanity.
You see, this is an outrage and the only way that humanity will understand that this is an outrage is to see how these corporations have run amok with their desire for greed. They have accepted it and they have desired it. All they are interested in is profits and so I firstly wanted to start with this understanding and I ask you when you get this recording, to take it to everyone that you believe can help the planet, that this technology of Tesla be brought forth.
The oil companies are not going to be willing to do this but in your greatness, you see you don’t understand the greatness of the power of your soul. You can demand Tesla’s information to be brought forth to humanity again. You don’t even have to go to someone to ask for it. Visualize that the free energy from the sun be made available to Earth again. You can overcome this darkness and if you spread this information and you intend that the free gift that Tesla found and brought to Earth be rediscovered again and shepherded until it comes forth in its fullness, it will be done.Oil was not created with the intention of heating homes and running automobiles. Oil is the lubricant inside the planet that keeps the planet in balance. The Earth spins and you understand that when something spins, yes there is a centrifugal force and the size of this planet is large and the centrifugal force is great within the planet. The oil keeps it in balance. The oil keeps an even pressure within. It keeps it even instead of having all the pressure towards the crust. If you take out all of the oil or take out an amount that becomes, shall we say self-defeating, more pressure is built up internally against the plates. You have ageing plates on this planet that in its course of time will be rejuvenated, but until that happens the pressures accumulate and you are seeing some of the results of it.
You are seeing parts of the world that suffer from earthquake, just recently a volcano. The Earth is trying to get the attention of humanity and there are not enough people asking the question, “Why?” “What is wrong?” The oil needs to be left where it is. It needs to be left there until the planet is rejuvenated, until the planet ascends and overcomes all of these problems, which in turn will rejuvenate the plates. Send the planet your love. Demand through your meditations that Tesla’s ability in finding free energy be reintroduced to Earth again.
Be willing to be the Earth’s keeper, the caretaker. You do not live upon this planet – humanity, some of them think they do – without responsibility but this is placed in your care. The planet is in the hands of humanity. You are the shepherd of her beauty and everyone who is on this line are my friends and I bless you for this and everyone who listens, I bless them. So we want people to hold sacred the place where you live. Intend that nothing will happen, that you will not allow anything to happen that will hurt the planet, that will set it back.
Envision the drilling stopped. Envision Tesla’s gift to humanity to come forth again and if you do this, Ultimate Creator will send it again to another who was as gifted as Tesla. The chances of this information coming forth from those who hold these desires for greed is very slim, but Ultimate Creator will send Tesla’s gift again to one who is knowledgeable and he is there on the planet already. But you see, the people on Earth must prove that they are willing to be the shepherds of this planet. That is all that you need to do, my beloveds and that is my part of the message.
Jeshua will come and explain how the oil that is coming forth from the well can be contained before the disaster becomes too great. The emergence of the oil from the well into the water was allowed to get the attention of the world’s peoples. There are choices that can be made and you have seen some of the choices. The oil can come to shore or it can be dissipated out in the oceans; and so I ask you, what do you choose?
What do you choose?Do you choose for the well to stop pumping the oil?
Do you choose for the winds to keep the oil from coming ashore?
Do you choose to see it moved into a place where it can dissipate and cause the least amount of harm to any one creature, any one country, any one race here upon the planet?
What happens will be of your choosing and so if anything comes out of this, it is your understanding of how great and powerful you are as a human being. I come forth only to tell you and to lead you so that you choose with one voice. And now I thank you, my beloveds and I turn this over to Jeshua, the King of the planet.

And Jeshua is here and he is saying;
I welcome all of you that have come forth to assist with this frightening unfolding. Humanity has ignored the risks of using the Earth’s oil, ignored the risks of pumping it out of the planet, where its purpose was for lubrication as Gaia has explained; ignored the risks when an event such as this happens, where it can threaten wildlife, where it can threaten the livelihood of many people, where it can threaten entire ecosystems. The ecosystem in Louisiana along the coastline is very fragile and the potential impact of this oil on this area is truly massive; and these kinds of risks are run almost every day by those oil companies who would pump this oil for their own profits and to exploit humanity through the use of oil.
As Gaia has explained, it is unnecessary and I wish to reinforce what she has said in this regard. You need to understand that those who run the oil companies are beings of the dark. Their agenda is exploitation; exploitation of the planet and of humanity and the oil business is a powerful financial pump for their benefit and that is how they use it. And so you need to be all aware that this is happening and be aware that this message needs to go out – the message that Gaia gave you. Put in the effort to ensure that this comes forth. Put in the effort to ensure that the technology that Tesla brought forth and gave up his life to see come forth, that it come forth once more to assist humanity to find its freedom and to allow the planet to find its freedom.
So I just wanted to take a moment to reinforce those messages because they are extremely important and as Gaia said, it is why this has been allowed, because it has been allowed. It is a wake-up call for humanity. Exxon Valdez was not enough of a wake-up call. It didn’t impact enough people. It didn’t threaten enough people’s livelihood. It wasn’t in anyone’s backyard, so speak. This is very much in people’s backyard and to some degree it is why you are all here, because you feel the threat. You can see the threat, you understand the threat and you want to see it changed.And as Gaia indicated, there are some things we can do, now that the doorway has been opened for this message to go forth, and that doorway is through each of you taking this message to whoever might listen, to all of the environmental groups who can do something with this. To all of the groups that are interested in alternative technologies to have them know that Tesla’s technology can come forth once more. To have as many people upon the planet meditating upon having this technology come forth; and let me assure you, if enough people do this it will come forth so quickly it will astound you, truly astound you because humanity in general completely underestimates the power that they hold, each and every one of you. It was something that I was teaching when I was here upon the planet, but it has been well and truly buried by those of the dark who would have you be dependent upon somebody else for your livelihood, for your spiritual evolution, for your doorway to your God. None of that is necessary. You are all extraordinarily powerful beings and that truth is beginning to awaken and it will awaken more and more as we approach the end of 2012, when the energies arrive to prepare for that wondrous Ascension event in early 2013.
So let us take a moment to focus on what can be done to minimise the damage from this oil. There is more than enough power within the group that is on this telephone call to transform the outcome as to what will happen with this oil. You have the power to stop this oil flowing forth and I suggest that we do that today. You also have the power to direct the winds so that this oil stays offshore and is dissipated with a minimal amount of damage, because you can achieve this also. And again, I want this recorded and understood because humanity has forgotten the power that you hold. You are very powerful beings. You can determine the weather. You can determine how events unfold in your lives individually and as a group, and you have a responsibility to take care of your planet, a responsibility that has been largely ignored.
And that responsibility is not exercised through panic schemes around global warming, which is simply another ruse of the dark to control humanity. It is not through those kinds of mechanisms. It is through the kind of mechanism that we are working with today. When people come together as a group, the energies that you send forth multiply dramatically. If one person comes forth with an intention, it has the power of one person. If you bring two people together, that power goes up tenfold and then for each person added to that, it is then multiplied by the number of people; so it goes 1 to 10 to 30 and onwards. So there is not this understanding in humanity about the power of bringing people together in this way with a common cause. It is very powerful indeed, and we will use that today in this work.
So let us begin. I want you all to intend that the oil flow from this well be stopped, that it be stopped now; and I’m going to ask Richard to command that this be done, because hecarries the power to do this, and I ask all of you in support of that command to intend that this oil flow be stopped.
So this is Richard. Let me take a moment to do as Jeshua has asked me to do.
I command that the oil flowing forth from this well be now stopped; that this oil no longer flow forth into the sea. I command this now. I further command that this command be triplicated and sent forth in its triangular format. And so it is.
And so let me return to Jeshua, and is saying;
And I thank you all for your contribution. You will see that in the next few days at worst, this well will stop flowing forth, perhaps even sometime today. It is a little uncertain because there are several factors at work; but in the next few days at worst, it will stop.
The second thing I wish to do is to have all of you intend that this oil be kept offshore, that it dissipate without disrupting the shoreline, that it have minimal impact upon the birds and animals and sea life that could be devastatingly affected by this oil. I want you all to intend that favourable winds keep it offshore, but also keep it away from those ocean currents that could carry it up the coast of America and disrupt many other states if it gets integrated into that current flow. And so I ask all of you to intend now, that this oil dissipate in a benign manner and that it be kept offshore, free and clear of disrupting the coastal areas. And I once more ask Richard to command that this be done.
And this is Richard to do as Jeshua has asked me to do.
I command that the winds be favourable to keep the oil slicks offshore, to keep the oil free and clear of the coast as much as is possible and to keep it in areas where it can dissipate with minimal damage to wildlife of any form and that it also be kept free and clear of the currents which flow up the American coast and I command this now. And I further command that this command be triplicated and sent forth in its triangular format. I command this now.
And so I return to Jeshua, and he is saying;
I thank all of you for coming forth today to make this contribution. As I said, you are all such powerful beings. You do not remember the power that you carry. You are all very powerful beings and particularly since The Fall in Atlantis some 13,000 years ago, that knowledge has been forgotten; and you live in a time when this knowledge is reawakening, and it will truly awaken in earnest after that Ascension event in early 2013. But it is important for many of you to begin to reawaken to that truth at this time, so you can assist the planet as you have done today, so you can assist yourselves and be examples to others. It is time for humanity to reclaim its power, to no longer be dictated to by those vested interests who would control everything that unfolds upon your planet. It is time for that power to be ripped away from them and in part that is what you are all doing today. You are both reclaiming your power and taking your power back from thosewho would take it from you and use it for their own ends. And so I acknowledge all of you for coming forth to assist in this way. And I leave you now to contemplate all that I have said. And so it is.

Well Gaia has stopped speaking, but she is standing next to me and again she is saying;
Feel her love. Feel her gratitude. Feel the connection between the two of you, meaning you the individual and herself. Hear her voice in the winds. Feel her sighs when you see the beauty around you. Feel her gifts as you walk upon the Earth. She knows each and every one of you and she treasures you and she loves you. She not only remembers who you are in this moment, but she remembers you through all of those beings that you ever were when you came each time to incarnate upon this planet.
So she understands who you are now and who you have ever been. She sees you in your entirety. She sees you from the very beginning, towards the end of Lemuria and the beginning of Atlantis until now. She sees you in your magnificent journey. She sees you as the entire angelic being that you are. You are all angelics because in your soul, you carry the particles of Prime Creator. Therefore, you are Prime Creator’s angelics as well as Prime Creator’s children. And so as Jeshua said, you have power that you have forgotten. Think upon the fact that your soul carries the particles of Prime Creator, and it is the ability that you hold within your soul that enables you to do all that you can do. And when there is a task that seems daunting to you, remember you have the particles of Prime Creator within your soul. Everything is open to you. Everything is possible to you, as long as you align your thoughts with the love of Prime Creator.

Sananda’s Message* to ‘We The People For Peace’ – Sunday, May 2, 2010

“Greetings, Beloved Family. It is I, Sananda. I come with my Mother with the Roses of Kumara. Please to take them as we continue this conversation. Take them into your hearts. There are no thorns on these Roses, only velvety softness, only Love, only beautiful colors and fragrances, and if you listen closely, you may even hear the music they make, especially for you.

“I, Sananda, have a most special mission which is to assure that all of those who choose to ascend, will do so. And this includes each and every one of you Beloved Ones, and this entire Family. We come close to you at this time because it is important that you know that this is as much a spiritual mission as any other. It is a mission to bring freedom to the world from those who have claimed power over you, from those who have claimed dominion over the planet and have stolen egregiously from every kingdom, those who have hurt, those who have killed, particularly in the name of some religion or other, it is time to be free – it is time to walk free from all of that. And so it is time to bring on these announcements, but support is needed, and that is what this project is all about. It is to bring about the freedoms that these announcements, the announcements of the NESARA will do. You’ve all been waiting for this, sometimes patiently, sometimes not.

“Well, let me share something with you. We feel your every emotion. We receive your messages, your prayers, your meditations. We answer back in loving meditation and we say to you now, we must work together – we must take these steps together – we must maintain the Love, the Peace that passeth all understanding, which truly empowers a mission such as this. And as we walk hand-in-hand to accomplish this mission, we move closer to that which you’ve been waiting for – the Golden Age, and yes, the presence of, not only the ships, but those of us who are on the ships – the open acknowledged presence of us being with you in this Ascension process, these last few steps that Mother Earth has to take before we are truly joined in the high-dimensional reality which is Truth for all who choose it.

“Join with us, Beloved Ones, let your hearts answer the call! Accept the Roses of Kumara and know that we are truly united as One in service to the entire planet and indeed, the universe beyond. We love you so much, Beloved Ones, and we feel your love, and we say to you, ‘Well done! Just walk with us a bit further along this path and truly, the paths are joined and the Golden Age awaits, grounding forevermore, what is now 3D Earth in Ascension status.

“Thank you, Beloved Ones, for the gifts you bring, for the lights you shine, for the Love you are, and for all of your expressions of support along the path. I reach out to all of you and I ask you to take my hand. We have not far to go, let us walk this hand-in-hand, heart-to-heart, joined in mission and service to our beloved Planet Earth. And so it is. Namaste.”

Admiral how is everything? Thelatest message from Salusa seems to indicate all systems are go and they are just awaiting the announcments. Now this is good news but you know when it comes to governments these things could take years. I mean just to pass a bill takes years never mind announcments like this. Well i guess we will have to wait. I cant believe if our government knows this is inevitable why are they sitting on their butts and not making this their number 1 priority. Then all of the rest of the bull they discuss such as the economy, healthcare military issues can all be put to rest. I keep hearing of plans to spend more money on space exploration and the war industry in which we will not need in the future. Maybe it is the case of keeping on the front the game that has benn being played out I dont know. mess

Gunner, I’m getting the impression that “This is It”…no more delays by the dark hats. I feel this year’s X-Conference is the precursor to the Announcements. Bassett is holding a press conference today. Speculation is on how that occasion will be used. Will it be used as a material lead-in to disclosure itself or will it be restricted to a report on the conference and a call for disclosure?
